I live in a relatively new manufactured home and am having the factory installed laminate countertops replaced with a Corian like material. The estimate we received quotes 2 prices.. (1) if I remove the existing C-tops and (2) if they do it. I can save several hundred $$$ if I do it BUT.. upon investigation from the underside can't figure out how they were attached.. I can't see any screws.. I would assume that the tops were laminated and trimmed (due to inside square corners) before installation so screws from the top don't seem a possibility.... they had to be mounted so how.. GLUE? I am looking for any ideas on how countertops in general are attached...

normally there are 45-45 gussets in the corners and blocks along the frontpiece and rear and screwed upward. but if this is a custom top, then the first piece of 3/4 is screwed to the cabinet rails then the next layer of particle board is screwed to the bottom layer and finally the laminate is glued on.
