i read an article on DIY on crown molding and they used a tool to measure the angles of the walls and the molding, what is this tool and where do you buy it?

its just an angle gauge. HD or Lowes should have it. basically its a square with a movable tongue that you lock when you detrmine your angle.

I tried to post a link to a page with some more info about bevel squares but the site wont let me. So instead you should probably just google bevel square. and youll get all the info you can handle.

There's the nice but expensive Starrett proSite protractor for finding crown angles.

Bosch makes a, electronic angle finder that shows the angle in digital readout.

There's also some decent, less expensive angle finders here: Install Crown Molding Lika a Pro! Master Compound Miter Cuts and Angles!
