Need help finding a Thermal Sensor replacement

I have a defective GTE RP-18 thermal sensor for a recessed can that I installed back in 1991 when we bought our house. It shorted out and it would be way eaiser to replace this sensor rather than climb up into the attic to replace the fixture, but I can't find where to purchase a replacement, can anyone help?
