Finale to wiring one pole switch re Hay Zee

Finally, I have found the problem to why the one-pole switch was blowing its circuit. The lampholder was shorting caused by my inabilty to notice that the formerly used lampholder had two terminal screws located on the brass side. The screws, on the silver side, were missing and I wired both black wires to the brass side. It may be time for me to conclude this renovation business. Thanks HayZee for your valuable assistance.

    receptacle

yup! that'll do it! any receptacle made has a set of nickel and brass colored screws. the white goes to the nickel and the black [or any other switched led] goes to the brass.
