Stumped

I bought a house back in November...it was built in 1990. It is a split level, 3 bedroom, with the Garage under the bedrooms and the kitchen/living rooms on mid level. Today my outside outlets, my garage outlets, and the GFCI outlets in my bathrooms stopped working. I have reset every breaker in my panel and cant find any additional panels, but still no power. Any suggestions on chasing this down?

check

check the gfci on tripping. push the test button then the reset button.
houses are reknowned for putting receptacles downstream of the gfci
