Help requested: I am trying to install a 220 Volt dryer circuit to run my elctrical dryer.
I have used a brnd new dryer plug (L shape), new 10 gauge wire. 3 line, 30 AMP Double Circuit breaker. I have conected the neutral wire (White) to the middle of the pluf (L-portion) and the other end in the ground on the circuit box. Ihave connected the red and black wires tothe outside plug and to the 30 AMp circuit. The dryer runns but does not heat up. I have checked with a volt meter on both plugs with the groun they are running at 120.4 Volts on each side. Any ideas as to why this will not heat. We have tried 3 dryers and all work but just not on thei wiring configuration.
