Yesterday all of our outlets were working just fine. Yesterday afternoon there was a power surge and all the electricity went out and immediately back on. After that, the two outside outlets and the two bathrooms outlets won't work. None of them have the reset buttons on them, and in the circuit breaker box none of the switches were in the off position. We shut them all off and back on again several times, and still those 4 outlets will not turn on. The house is only 4 years old. Any suggestions?

If the house is only 4 years old then you definatly have a GFCI somewhere that's protecting those 4 outlets. Outlets in the bathrooms and in the garage per code must be GFCI protected, so, search anywhere in the house for a GFCI. It may be in another bathroom or in the basement somewhere. It could even be one of the circuit breakers protecting the hole circuit that is a GFCI breaker.
One other thing it could be is if you have a surge suppressor breaker in your panel, most have a small light on them that is lit when it's working and not lit when out.
