I am running a 40A, 220v circuit for my TIG weld in the garage.
I pulled a permit and was putting together a shopping list but I am stuck at the receptacle and how it is wired.
I found (2) receptacles that only have (3) lugs two for HOT and one for the ground. NO NEUTRAL.
I expected to find (4) lugs, red, black for HOT , white for neutral and green for ground. The following images are wired that way. Should I find a receptacle with the 4 lugs and run 8-3 romex or just run 8-2 romex.
I don't want to cheap out or wire anything to save a buck....thanks in advance.
