  • Cable Stapling Tool

Hi - is there a tool that fastens (nails?) 12 and 14 AWG 2 or 3 wire to studs? I have the 2-pronged u-shaped nails to beat in, just thought there might be something faster or simpler to use in tight spots (like near HVAC ducts between floor joists). Seems all the "staple guns" at the local Lowes are too small for this thick wire - true? Thanks!

OK - This is really goofy, but I'll reply to my own post (since I now know the answer - in case someone else is searching!).

The ACME 75A Stapling System (14/2, 14/3, 12/2, and 12/3 wire, plus others).

Or the DESA Powerfast Strap Gun.

Each goes for about $35 bucks.

    OK - thanks Jim!

    Don't mention it![8D]

You bet Troy! This is a great forum - already got lots of help on electrical, HVAC, and general construction for my first time finishing an unfinished basement. Hope to be able to "share the wealth" with others as I learn!
