I am replacing a ceiling fan with pull chains with one that is controlled by remote control. First Question, Do I need to have a wall switch or can I control with remote alone? Second question, when I removed the old fan the wires from the power source are red, white and black. The red wire was connected to the green ground wire on the old fan. Do I use this red wire as ground? After hooking everything up I can't get it to work, I am assuming I need a wall switch. If I need a wall switch how do I hook up the existing wires red, white and black to new wire for the switch?
