I have an electric line running underground to a storage building. Since I didn't install the line I don't know its path. How can I trace the path? Thanks

Rent a metal detector.

Some units can be expensive. They emit an rf pulse that can be picked up by a compatible transducer and can tell you direction and depth of burial. If you know anyone from the phone company they have these units in their truck.

Thanks to all. Dug a hole to repair a broken water line and found the electric beside the water.
