we just bought a house and the wiring here is messed up, i'm trying to install a garbage disposal, but every switch or outlet i try to hot wire to keeps throwing the breaker, i'm pretty sure that they are all to their max. so my question is, i want to install a new plugin, but i need help on running it to the circuit breaker box, please help so my wife will get off my back..

The disposal will have to be on it's own circuit. A 15 amp circuit will suffice. You have two options, wire it direct or use a cord and outlet. Underneath the sink cut in an outlet. Above the sink above the splashrail cut in a switchbox. Run a piece of 14/2 from the switchbox to the outlet location below the sink. Run a piece of 14/2 from the outlet location to the panelbox. On the wire from the switchbox to the outlet location tape the white wire "black" both ends. At the outlet location, wire nut the black wire from the panelbox feed to one black wire going to the switchbox. The other wire from the switchbox, the taped one put on the brass screw on the outlet. The white wire from the panelbox, put on the nickel screw on the outlet. Splice the grounds together and put one wire on the green screw on the outlet. Fold everything into the outlet box and fasten with screws and put on a outlet plate. At the switch location, put the black wire on the top screw of the switch and the other on the bottom screw. Put the bare ground on the green screw. Now fold everything into this box, fasten the swutch and put on a switch plate.
Run a piece of 14/3 SO cord from the disposal - connect black to black, white to white and the green cord wire to the green screw or wire on the disposal. At the other end you'll need a cord cap. Strip back the jacket and put the black wire onto the brass colored screw, the white on the nickel colored screw and the green on the green screw. Plug the plug into the outlet and go to the panelbox.
Strip back about two feet of cable jacket and using a romex connector, feed the cable through it and leave about a 1/4 inch of jacket exposed inside the connector. tighhten the two screws. Route the wires around inside the panelbox and put the bare ground and white to the neutral bar. The black will go to the circuit breaker. Hook the bottom edge of the breaker on the metal piece in the panel and firmly press the breaker over the bus terminal. Put the metal cover, trim plate back on the panelbox, mark the breaker location as disposal and flip it on. go back to the kitchen, start water flowing into the disposal and turn on the switch - should work.
