thanks for the reply how about if i have 14/2 wire is it still safe i had 2 different wires going to breaker panel 12/2 and 14/2 can i still put in 20 amp breaker if 14/2 wire
12/2 = 20 amps, 14/2 = 15 amps. 12/2 can be fused at 15 amp. If there's mixed wiring somewhere along the line stick with 15 amp. Whoever put 14/2 with 12/2 ought to be hung by their pliers
