  • House wire separation (phone, elect, cable)

Can someone tell me what the separation should be between electric, phone, and co-axial cable wiring in a residential house. I believe that signal interference could be an issue, so I thought I should check. I need to run a phone and cable wire for our television/satellite receiver, and an existing romex wire is in the same cavity that I was planning to use. Also, is it ok to have the phone and cable in the same receptacle box??

    Thanks,
    Darren

Two feet - 24 inches - as far away as is possible parallel lines tend to induce an AC hum in the audio and/or rf circuits. If you run a wiremold racewaay - power and low voltage audio and rf circuits are separated by a metal separator the full length.
