Recessed light - space between trim and ceiling

Hi,

I just installed the first of a bunch of recessed lights. Is there any trick to get the trim to be flush with the ceiling? The Elite trim attaches to the Elite recessed can, but there is like a 1/8" space between the trim and ceiling.

If there is a reflecter shield, and its hitting the lamp socket bracket.....that could be a clue.

Is the trim you have selected, for the fixture.
Not all are.

Make, model # of both fixture and trim, a PDF file, will save you a trip back to the store.
