    Crackling Switch

I have two switches that control the same light in my kitchen (3-way circuit?). I've noticed that the one switch tends to make a crackling sound when I flip it or even when I use the corresponding switch on the other side of the room. The crackling switch is part of a plate that has 3 switches in it. I replaced one of the switches in that plate that had broken at one point and wanted to change the others for visual uniformity but found that they are daisy-chained together so I got nervous and left it. Should I be concerned?

crackling or sparking is normal in any type of switch because you are making and breaking a load. if the switch is heating up then I'd replace the switch.

Thanks. doesn't appear to be heating up. Is that sort of daisy-chaining normal?
