  • Wiring a Leviton 5225ISP "combo" switch

I want to wire a Leviton 5225ISP combo switch (one switch and one outlet on single gang) sp that the outlet is hot when the switch is on and the outlet is off when the switch is off. Someone said that that wires should go to the left side and the other side, where the terminals are connected with a tab, has no wires connected, but the tab should not be broken off. First of all, is this correct? I found this after I had already broken off the tab because of some incorrect advice. Can I just wire these two terminals together to have it act like the tab was still there?

yes, just put a jumper between the two terminals.
