    wiring a switch outlet combo

    I've got a leviton switch outlet I want to put into place of a light switch.As it looks now the 2 white wires are togather in the back of the box and the 2 black wires are on one side of the switch along with the bare ground wire.Btw any diagrams will help.Thanks

    add another white wire to the other two and fasten it to the nickel colored screw on the combo. put the black HOT wire on the brass screw with the other brass screw - don't remove the jumper tab. Put the load black on the other brass screw opposite the other (two) brass screws. the outlet will always br hot, the switch will operate your load.

      tell me if I understand

      On my switch has a brass on top and a nickle screw on bottom on one side and two black screws on the other with a green screw at the very bottom.Put the white wire on the nickle screw and the black wires on the other side and copper wire on the green screw?

            i 'm trying to install a combo switch to a three way switch. is there a wiring diagram for this?

              the only way you are going to get a combo to work where there is a three way is IF there is a neutral wire in the box. no neutral your are out of luck!
