Komet track lite transformer problem

I was (sort of) happy to read that someone else had the same problem with this track light. As noted by another user, they are stunning but if they won't work reliably, what's the point?
Problem: spring loaded pin in transformer is stuck so it doesn't always touch the track causing sparks or simply not working. Moving the track to line things up works but only briefly.
Is there something that can be safely used to bridge the gap and keep this track system working? Could I spray it with something to free it?
If manufacturing rep is reading, please feel free to offer me a new transformer.

could you take a picture of the problem and post it? I went looking on the web for a tranwsformer for it but couldn't find one.
