  • low voltage problem

My microwave stopped working today. It is on a dedicated circuit breaker. When testing the outlet, hot to neural produces 5 volts. When tested to ground, wire gets full voltage. This leads me to believe that the problem is in the breaker box with a lose neutral. I turned the breaker on and off twice and got the same readings. Before I go into the box, I would like an opinion. Romex wire.

you defintely have an open neutral. check upstream of your outlet.
