I am remodeling a living room and considering installing sconces for wall lighting and some recesses ceiling fixtures to eliminate the need for lamps in the room, how far from the floor are sconces usually installed? Thanks for the input...

Wherever you think they look right, we put ours around 6' or 6'6" most of the time but if you dont think that looks right for your decor then change is

You may want to call a local lighting store to see if there is a standard, from an interior design point of veiw.
