    Light Bulb Broke in Socket

I'm changing light bulbs today and one broke off in a can. I can't get the screw threads loose. I've tried a pair of needle nose pliers to grab it but it won't turn. Any suggestions on how I can get this thing out of the socket?

    Thanks!

I've heard of using a potato, of all things! Shove it in there and turn the remains out. Hope the power's off. Poor way of cooking potatoes! Good luck.

If you use a potato be sure to thoroughly clean out the socket after, you don't want potato juice all up behind your bulbs.

I was able to bend the metal part of the bulb in on each side and eventually it loosened. I was afraid to try the potato thing for the reason above. I put in an LED light so I don't have to deal with this for a long time!! Thanks all for you help!
