Need help replacing circuit breaker

I have removed a 20 amp gfci circuit breaker from my ge panel. I need to replace it with a regular 20 amp circuit breaker but I am unsure of how to wire it. The gfci breaker had a red, white and then another white wire. The bottom white wire was connected to the ground bar. On the gfci they were marked as load power, load neutral and panel neutral. I bought two new breakers, one is a duoble pole and the other was a single pole. I think I need to wire the single pole breaker,the power wire to the breaker and the white I would put into the grounding bar. Just wanted to make sure before I tried it. I think the double pole breaker wouldn't be what I need for this job. Any help is appreciated, thanks

If you are removing a gfi circuit breaker why are you not replacing it with a gfi breaker, what is this circuit supplying power to

what size is the breaker? standard one inch space or a double pole? what size besides amps is the one you removed?

it is a double size breaker, being replaced because we re did our yard and that used to supply the old pool pump, but now it controls a seperate gfi outlet that the town inspector says needs to trip at the outlet, it was tripping the breaker inside when tested, so he said just change the gfci to regular breaker to pass inspection

Thank you for the reply. In this case all wires that were connected to the gfi, the load wires, black and white will be connected to the two pole breaker. The bare ground goes to the neutral or auxillary ground bar.
