    Hardwood floors

I just bought a new home and my hardwood floor in my entry way is in very poor shape. The finish looks like it is gone and the floor has a few water stains and is just plain old looking. I dont want to replace the floor but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how I could get it looking good again. Someone suggested that I stain it a cherry color so the stains wouldn't look so bad. How would I do this and is this a good idea?

It may be that the floor is beyond repair but you couyld sand the rest of the finish off and smooth it back out. Most of the water spots will sand out as long as they are not too bad.But considering what you would have to do to get the floor looking good again you may want to consider just pulling it out and going in with new[8D]

      by Beth Thornton
