    refinishing concrete floors

i wanted my place to have an "industrial look" by having unpainted concrete floors. however, when i removed the old vinyl tiles that were glued on with rubber cement, it looked grimy. i've tried using solvent and a steel grinder but it still looks dirty. wat should i do?? [V]

You removed all the mastic from the floor and now the concrete looks dirty? You could maintain the grey and industrial look with floor coating products available. I used a water based epoxy in my garage, and it is almost the exact color of the concrete floor, except now its a seamless, chemically resistant and easily cleanable surface. My floor has never looked better or been cleaner. Easy to install and maintain. Check it out, it might be just what you're looking for.
