    the squeaking shows the workmanship is below par. to fix it is another story. a way of trying to lower the sound is to use talcum powder poofed in between the flooring slats [boards] what is happening is the flooring is riding up and down a nail just enough to cause a rubbing on the nail or nails.

    Hi. I live in a newly constructed townhouse with three levels. The floor on the third level squeeks in one small section. The house also has radiant floor heating. Anyone have suggestions on how to quiet the problem? Thanks, Jake
