What do you mean "seal it?" For protection or to act as a exposed floor?

      Seal

I am laying new carpet in the room,,,and I was thinking that when I shampoo it without some kind of something on it,,it will seperate. I dont have the money right now to put a new sub floor down.

I would just lay the carpet on it... unless you soak your carpet in water it should be fine.
        Is it beer thirty??

cheapest "sealer" is "Parks" white shellac. "Parks" is used as a sanding sealer. It is alcohol solvent based so it evaporates quickly. If you want a pigmented sealer Zissner's "kilz" would do the job.

You could always paint on Bullseys, or Zinsser, both these products are fairly cheap and are vapor barrier paints. Often they are used to cover previous owners :bad pet" spots as they will also lock in any smells.
