  • wood floor care?

We're moving to a new house in about a month - we'll have wood flooring in mot of the downstairs and ceramic tile in wet areas.

What's the best way/product to care for these?

    Thanks!

Your best bet is to use a cleaner that is recommended by the floor manufacturer. The store where the wood was purchased should have something. Anything else can void the warranty on the finish.

Decorating your home is always a great experience that creates a lot of excitement and fun. With that home theater seating plays a crucial role when you are thinking about making arrangements for your movie room. You need to consider many things like comfort because you are going to spend more money than you think.

You didn't tell us what type of flooring? We just did our floors in the house with bamboo flooring and they said that it's got 10 layers of protection so we can use any method of clean up that would be applied to a standard vinyl floor.

The salesman did say that keeping sand/dirt off the floor will keep it's finish longer, and he also gave us the advice that gummy/sticky messes are easiest to removed with ice to make them brittle so you don't have to scour/scrape the floor.

Hope those tips help you out?

The first thing you'll want to do is to determine if the floor needs to be re-finished or at least polished and sealed. Once you do that, you won't need much of any maintenance for many years- if you take care of the floor properly.

Sweep and or dust the floor with a soft broom or a product like the swiffer. Wipe up spills quickly form the floor and don't let the floor get wet.

The best way to clean a wood floor is to dampen a rag or cloth with a mixture of water and vinegar. Make sure you only dampen the cloth and then wipe or wash the floors. Too much moisture will ruin the floor. You can also check with the floor finisher or floor manufacturer to see if there is a specific product they recommend.
