Howdy...
When I was at work yesterday, my wife called me and said that she walked in the house to find the place stifling and the thermostat acting haywire. She promptly called her father, who talked her through removing it from the wall. Unfortunately, she didn't write down what color wires were attached to what locations...and, now that we're trying to put in a new thermostat, I'm having a devil of a time getting it to work. There are six wires: yellow, green, white, blue, red, and orange. It's electric heat and central air. Logically, I figured that, when putting the wires on, it would go as follows: yellow to Y, green to G, white to W, blue to B, red to R, and orange to O. But when I do that and flip the circuit breakers back on, I get nothing. Can anyone offer any advice...? Thanks in advance...
