I have the aforementioned wall heater in my house and am having fits with it. Currently, the pilot is lit. If I set the thermostat to a temperature to induce heating, the unit will not kick on. I am albe to bang on the valve and get it to light occasionally, (which I assume is not the smartest thing to do). When this happens, the heater kicks on and warms the room, shutting off once temperature is reached, never to light again no matter where I set the thermostat. I understand some of the components of the system, but not sure how to go about checking for proper voltages, etc. Can you help ?
