I have a whole house Honeywell 90 pint/day dehumidifier. When I lower the desired humidity level on the humidistat, the humidity, according to the same humidistat, goes up. There have been installation issues and now excuses are being made for this phenomenon. I still think something is wrong. Am I right?

If your house was totally air tight 24/7 and you adjusted your dehumidifier to lower the moisture level, it would operate trying to attain that level BUT as soon as someone opens a door or a window, external [outside] moisture rushes in and the levels go up.
No one wants to live like a hermit and not go out so find a decent level and live with it.

Has anyone had an occurrence of a Laser 730 or 731 over firing?
The top of the heat chamber and the heat exchanger glow red on high when this occurs....
