  • Blower Not Turning

I have a Fedders Gas Furnace and about a week ago it started making a loud hum. I finally traced it down to the blower motor. The blower is not turning so I assume it needs replaced.

How do I figure out what part to order exactly? Would I be able to find information if I pull out the motor or is this something universal I can order before I disassemble?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

To figure out the exact replacement part for your Fedders furnace’s blower motor, start by checking the model number on the motor itself, usually found on a label or nameplate. If you can’t access it, you might be able to find details in the furnace’s manual or by contacting Fedders directly. Taking measurements of the motor, like the frame size and shaft diameter, can also help if you need to find a match. If you're unsure about the details, consulting an HVAC professional is a good idea—they can identify the right part and ensure you get the correct replacement.
