    I need info for a becket burner in a utica 175000 btu oil fired hot water furnace.
    The nozzle is a .85 gph @80deg hollow. I need to know the electrode gap and position in relation to the front of the nozzle. i also need to know the set back of the nozzle in relation to the the burner cone.
    there is an insulation mat that covers the bottom and sides of the chamber, The mat is starting to deteriorate and pull away from the sides of the of the chamber. is there a repair for this.
    thanks
    joe.

    Welcome to the forum;
    You can simply go to a "Beckett oil Burners" doing a google or yahoo search.
    There are tons of oil burner information and set-up specifications out there.

      That set back of the nozzle is set there on the burner. By that side plate that the nozzle line came out of the little plate should never be changed unless you change the nozzle spray angle. To reset it you have to see the flame with the gun on and see that the oil dont hit the side of the cone. Electrode's set 1/8" gap 1/8" in front of the nozzle and 1/2" up from the center of the nozzle. Be sure and check pump pressure. With that 85 nozzle in a 175K boiler Id say it should be about 120 psi.
      like said becket is good Also go http://www.freepoolheat.com/oil.html
      go to Johnstone Supply they have the ceramic fiber blanket or they have new chambers to put in if you want
