Manually turning on Comfortmaker GUG

My Comfortmaker GUG has stopped turning on automatically when the tempature gets below what I've set on the thermostat. When I notice the house is getting cold, I have to turn the power switch for the furnace off, then back on again, then it heats up and works fine. I never have to touch the thermostat itself. Once it shuts down, it happens again.
Any ideas are appreciated!

How old is the unit? If it has a board in it that can be the cause If not a standing pilot, can be pilot dont light right. lot of ifs here.
