I have to replace the thermostat on our 10-year-old geothermal system. It's functioning fine, but the LCDs are failing and some numbers are difficult to read.
We're selling the house, so have no desire to spend big bucks for a programmable unit, but if my understanding is correct, the only one I can use on my unit is unique to heat pumps. We have auxilliary electric heaters, but they are only used as a backup for extreme cold.
Any recommendations for a moderately priced thermostat for this application?
