    Carrier Hybrid Infinity

I have had a couple of estimates for a new carrier hybrid system. I had a Carrier 10 seer 2 ton unit that had a heat exchanger failure. I am looking to replace it with a Carrier 13 seer performance series for around $5000 but I was told by the second HVAC company I would be better off with the Carrier 15 seer Infinity. It is the top of the line and would be a better choice because I would reap the benefits and recoup and additional outlay of $$$ because of the higher efficiency. It will be around $8500.
    Any thoughts or guidance?

They can do a cost breakdown depending on where you live on the difference of a 15 seer vs a 13 seer that is figured by the amount of cooling needed for a season multiplied by the cost of a kilowatt hour to see what each unit cost would be then you can see how long it will take to recoupe the extra 3500.00 dollars.
