    Pilot light on, no heat

Our central heating isn't working. It's an electric ignition forced air system.
We feel like fools! We called the HVAC guy and he came when we were not home. We got home and the heat was on! Hooray! But then we turned it off.
And now it will not come back on again!
When I turn the thermostat up, the pilot light comes on blue. The sensor next to the pilot light makes a constant "clicking" noise. The fan will not come on when switched to auto, even when thermostat is at the max temperature. The fan comes on when you turn it on manually, but only blows cold air.
I feel like we must be doing something wrong! Help please and thank you very much!

need the name of the heater - typing in that number in Google Search doesn't do anything
