hello, over the summer i extended a porch into the backyard and added additional baseboard heating. when the heat is on now there is a constant drip from overpress valve. i allready replaced expansion tank to no avail.i wonder if a new valve with higher btu rating may help. thank you for info

It;s not to do with btu,s its a presser valve and should read around 12 to 15 psi if it;s higher release some water from the boiler (should be a valve on the bottom)if the psi is correct and it leaks it needs replacing this is a common problem and easy to replace'shut off boiler close water vales feeding boiler replace valve turn on water ,fire boiler adjust pressure (p.s.valve max;s at 30 psiand releases after that its a safty)shut off boiler after reachs temp. and pressure and bleed rads highest in the house turn on boiler
