I'm melting, can someone help?

I live in British Columbia and we are having the biggest heat wave on record....and no one owns air conditioners here.
I am trying to turn on my WhisperHeat Lennox furnace fan to circulate the air, but I can't get it on by itself. I have a programable thermostat with a fan function for auto or on and I set it to on. I also tried the air conditioning function (even if I don't have one) to get it to kick on.
My three year old is melting back into a 8 month old, can someone help me out?

Furnace board bypass

It is possible to bypass the controll board in your furnace, unless you have a ramping blower motor...the ramping variable speed motor requires a large harness with multiple connections in order to run.

If you do not have a ramping motor, it will two speed wires attached to the control board: one black and one yellow, orange, or blue...as well as a common wire, usually white. Bypassing the control board will successfully turn on the motor, you just won't be able to turn it off except by turning off the power to the furnace.

By moving the black fan wire from the COOL terminal onthe board to the primary hot wire from the door switch to the control board, you will effectively lock the blower on as long as the furnace door is closed.

Be sure to turn off the furnace breaker before beginning to attempt this bypass, and try to write down what you did so you can undo it when the heat wave is over.

A quick clarification

Thanks so much for the tip!!!
I can find the Cool blower lead no problem on the schematic and on the block, but I am not sure where it needs to go. Am I supposed to attach it along with the door switch lead or should I remove the door switch lead and attach the Cool blower lead?
Can I take a volt meter and look for another hot terminal to use?
