  • Help!!

Okay. New to the forum and ready to scream. I came home Friday morning to the smell of burnt insulation and a haze throughout the house. The fan was not running so I knew right away the motor was shot. I bought a universal motor and replaced it that afternoon. I have a Goodman, and because the control board is right in front of the squirrel cage I labeled all of the wires to properly install them again. I turn the breaker back on and the unit is dead. The thermostat clicks to call for heat but the fan is dead. No LED flashing, the fan won't even run in "FAN" mode. I replaced the three amp fuse to no avail. The door switch is okay. I have voltage to the board from the door switch but that's where it ended. I had read in numerous areas where the Goodman boards can go bad. Mine was 13 years old so I thought maybe it shorted when the fan burned out. I replaced the circuit board and still have the same dead problem. Is there something I'm missing? I thought if there was a limit switch problem the fan would at least still run without heat. This is driving me nuts!

I don't have a multimeter that works right now, but I can tell you the neutral (white) has power based on voltage detctor while black, blue, and red do not. This universal motor only has three speeds (hi, med, and low). The original was wired for hi, med hi, med low, and low. I put the red at med low and nothing is at low.
