    Oil Furnace won't stay running

I ran out of Oil over the weekend and had the tank refilled on Monday. I bled the line and the furnace will ignite but will not stay running unless the reset button is held down.

The thermostat is up all the way.

I have bled quite a bit of fluid out so I'm pretty sure all the air is out.

The furnace burns fine only when I'm holding the reset button down. As soon as I let it go it stops.

I've held the reset button for as long as 2 minutes one time to try an reset the lockout.

    Any ideas?

remove and clean the lens of the cadmium sulphide cell [electric eye] the reset keeps the pump and ignition running, bypassing the lockout relay.
