  • Bryant +80 kisks in but no heat

My Bryant +80 furnace was running, but no heat. Got Error code 33 (Limit or flame rollout switch is open). Replaced filter and waited for reset. Thermostat turned off but blower keeps kicking in, igniter glows but no gas. Even with thermostat off, it keeps trying to start. Won't reset. What gives?

with the t-stat off and it trying to start, is it going through the sequence of operation or is the blower just running nonstop? Remove power at the breaker or service switch for 30 sec. and turn back on.
    It is what it is.......

I have done that several times. It appears to be running thru the cycle. It will run blower fans and then the heating element glows (a switch clicks then) but the switch allowing the gas to flow doesn't open. It will then shut down for a minute, then cycle thru again. I'm thinking the flame rollout switch is bad. I found it using the manual, removed it and there is no visual damage. How can I test it without an ohm-meter?

Thanks for your help. It turned out to be a faulty pressure switch.
