Rheem furnace/ Fan/Blower won't stop running

Hello! THis is our first visit to this forum... thanks for having us!
We have a Rheem electric furnace and the fan has not stopped running for 2-3 days now. There is a circuit breaker on the unit which my husband flipped and when turned back on the fan stayed off for a bit until we bumped it up a degree to test it out. He also tried disconnecting the thermostat and that shut it off as well.

We don't know much about HVAC but really want to wait until after the holidays to call a repair man if it can be helped.
Any quick-fix suggestions are appreciated.

any electric furnace uses a SEQUENCER for heat. These are small relays with a time delay that turn on the ELEMENTS in SEQUENCE along with the fan. They primarily get their signal from the thermostat. The thermostat is controlled by the MASTER ELEMENT or controller. A lot of times the aux contact for the fan locks up or their contacts weld shut so the fan runs all the time. Shutting off the breaker is the only way the fan AND heat will shut off.
One side of the elements is always connected to the 240 hot the other side goes through the COMMON to all sequencer relays. Output from each sequencer goes to each element bank.

OK... that seems to all make sense...
Will we be able to visibly see if they have welded shut?
if one of the two items you mentioned are causing the malfunction are they as easy DIY fix?

depending on the manufacturer, the contacts may be visible or not. a sequencer costs from about 20 bucks and up. try a hvac supplier online for your specific heater.
