    Monitor 422 sticky temp button

Is there an easy way to free up my "UP" temp button on my heater.

Could be the button and surroundings are just dirty and gummed up. You might try removing the plastic cover and cleaning the button/surrounding with a Q-tip and alcohol/cleaner. I've had problems with a button sticking on my 422 a couple times, but usually if I look closely I'll find the button assembly has slipped a little inside the heater top and is actually hanging up on the metal around the button. I've never looked, but probably to replace a button de-soldering the old one and soldering in a new one would be all there is to it. A switch similar to this is what is used for the buttons, but you'd have to find out the correct size. 100pcs Tactile Push Button Switch Tact Switch 6x6x5mm 4 Pin DIP | eBay Mathis Electronics in North Carolina will also do repairs on Monitor electronic boards, but if getting a button replaced is all you need you or someone else could probably do it much cheaper.
