  • Monitor 41, starts, flames to -8 bars- then goes out (Fixed)

Normally I'm here -only- when I have a problem...today for a change I want to list my fix. For you old timers...this is probably a common fix, just listing it here in case someone else can use the info.

Yesterday my Monitor 41 wouldn't complete the final -8 bar- heating scale and fan before it would just shut down and panel lights would blink. If I reset the panel..it would again, ignite, go to -4 bars- and once it hit -8 bars- it would cycle off again and panels light blinking.

Opened it up and found that the "burner ring" had burned through it's top. Opened up a parts 41 unit I have and that one had a cracked burner ring. Was lucky a local Monitor repairman sold me a nice used burner ring. Installed it last night and the heater is 100% again.

Again just a FYI and thanks to you guys that always jump in to help.
