  • MPI 22 Monitor Heater

My Monitor has stopped working...no flashing, no lights...nothing
Been sitting for a couple of years...had flashing light previously, but nothing now. Checked the PCB board and the RL1 has a black spot on the top of it, could this be the problem??? Have been reading all the post for Monitor and I hope you can help me. I noticed there is a place that repairs the boards but would like to try maybe fuses or something if you think it would help. Thanks in advance.

are you familiar with troubleshooting with a meter? If YES then take voltage checks on the MB. If not then get a service person over there.

      Monitor MPI 22

      Hi,
Got it to the turn on almost start then flashing lights???
Also noticed that I cannot set time/temp....have room temp 56/42 and clock time but nothing else...checked the large pcb and everthing checked ok...would it have anything to do with the smaller power boards? Have a run light but the auto light does not work either??? Suggestions please!
Got the original owner's manual but I don't find it to be of too much help. Have a copy of a Monitor Heating Systems Service Manual but many pages are missing 6, 8, 10, 19, 29 also 32-40 and 41-57 is there anywhere I can get these?
I'm ready to tear it down and rebuild but need to locate parts too....it seems to be one of the oldest models.
      Thank you for your time...

an open thermistor defaults to 42 when it is open. check the thermister. a thermistor changes its value when temperature goes up or down. check the path from the board through the air proving switch. hawkins111 put up a reference to many monitor parts lists. go back into the threads and find it.
