Cost of replacing waste and overflow

I received a quote of $525 to replace the waste and overflow assembly in my master bathtub. There is an access panel. Is this price out of range? Thanks.

    huh?

It sure is! you can buy a kit from a big box store for about 25 bucks!
Do it yourself, takes about an hour.

HayZee is correct. Although catching the drain thread can be a PITA by yourself. Be sure to use plumber putty under the drain strainer along with the washers below.
