Blue stains in shower / sink

Hello all, I have noticed blue stains in our shower and sink. I just started researching this and it sounds like the pH of our water might be too acidic. Anyone have any insight? I am still trying to find info on this, but my fear is we will need to replace pipes, which sounds expensive depending on where they are in the house...

have your water checked for high concentrations of chlorine. chlrine reacts with the copper to form a blue hue.
