    partial flushing?????

    Hi,
We have an old toilet that has gotten gradually worsre in doing partial/slow flushes lately. If the bowl fills to almost overflow it usually flushes correctly, if not we never get the full "SWOOOOOSH" of a flush. Down in the bottom of the bowl there is a lime(or some mineral) deposit that grows back even if I clean all I can reach with acid. I'm wondering if this is causing a large enough restriction to cause my problem?Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

It sounds more like you have a partial clog in the toilets internal trap. Try plunging it out, if that doesn't work you can try running a snake through it, though that may scratch the surface. Better to just pull the toilet out, turn it upside down and clean it out. Then reset it.
