Faucet Cartridge

I am changing a faucet cartridge. I have used the plastic piece that comes with the new cartridge to try to loosen the old one. It will still not come out. I think I am going to pull the plumbing out of the wall. What do I do?

Put a vice grip on it and turn slightly left and right as you pull.
